To become a Warrior in MapleStory Classic World, reach Lv10 and speak to Dances with Balrog in Perion. Return to the same instructor at Lv30 to choose Fighter, Page, or Spearman. The current Founder's Access notes cover first and second job advancement and set the character cap at Lv100. This Warrior guide explains those confirmed steps and the systems you can use around them, while leaving numerical builds Pending confirmation (待确认).
01
Start with the current Warrior rules
Warrior is one of four starting jobs, alongside Magician, Bowman, and Thief. Your character begins as a Beginner on Maple Island, where the official introduction places the first monsters, quests, and basic controls. Job selection comes later on Victoria Island, so choosing Warrior is an advancement milestone rather than the character's initial starting state.
Classic World revisits the original MapleStory experience with balance adjustments and gameplay improvements, according to its official introduction. That description does not identify a particular Warrior skill adjustment or publish a finished build. Use the current instructor and advancement information below instead of assuming that every rule remembered from another release still applies.
02
First advancement: Dances with Balrog at Lv10
The confirmed first-job destination is Perion, and the named contact is Dances with Balrog. Reach Lv10, find that instructor, and follow the advancement information shown in the current client. The official release notes give the town and NPC but do not supply a detailed travel itinerary or the instructor's position within the map.
The published overview also does not provide a complete advancement quest walkthrough or an attribute requirement. Pending confirmation (待确认): any additional dialogue steps, tests, or stat checks need current evidence before they can become instructions here. If your client shows a requirement beyond the published summary, read it before spending points or confirming the choice.
| Warrior milestone | Confirmed destination or choice |
|---|---|
| Starting state | Beginner on Maple Island |
| First advancement | Lv10, Dances with Balrog in Perion |
| Second advancement | Lv30, speak to Dances with Balrog again |
| Second-job options | Fighter, Page, Spearman |
| Current character cap | Lv100 |
03
Second advancement: Fighter, Page, or Spearman
At Lv30, speak to Dances with Balrog to select your specialized Warrior path. Fighter, Page, and Spearman are all explicitly listed in the current Founder's Access release notes. These are second-job choices, so their names should not be treated as separate starting jobs that bypass Warrior.
The release overview says specialization brings new skills, but it does not explain each branch's complete skill set. A branch name alone cannot establish the strongest weapon, preferred party role, or fastest leveling route for this version. Compare what the client actually presents for each option and choose with those descriptions in view.
Pending confirmation (待确认): whether a branch can be changed later, what that would cost, and whether it preserves allocated points. The saved sources do not document a respecialization process. Treat the Lv30 choice as something to review carefully rather than relying on an unverified promise of a free reversal.
04
Warrior builds and skill changes
A useful Warrior build needs more than the names of three branches. It needs current skill descriptions, point rules, equipment requirements, and observations from the relevant version. The official pages used here establish the advancement structure but do not provide enough evidence for an AP distribution, an SP order, or a damage comparison.
Pending confirmation (待确认): Warrior AP/SP allocation, skill values, reset rules, recommended equipment, and branch rankings. A build copied from an older MapleStory release or another classic server cannot fill those gaps automatically. Keep any numerical recommendation tied to a dated Classic World source or clearly documented current testing before following it.
05
Crafting opens at the first-job milestone
Crafting becomes available at Lv10, the same level as Warrior's first advancement. Visit crafting NPCs to inspect the items they offer and the materials required; the official overview says further crafting develops your crafting skill and opens additional recipes. This gives you another progression system to investigate after becoming a Warrior.
The six published professions are Smithing, Weaponcrafting, Tailoring, Woodcrafting, Leatherworking, and Arcforge. Their inclusion does not establish a mandatory profession for Fighter, Page, or Spearman. Pending confirmation (待确认): a Warrior crafting priority, exact recipe costs, and a best crafted equipment list require item-level evidence that these pages do not supply.
06
Citizenship is separate from your Perion advancement
From Lv12, citizenship is available in Henesys and Kerning City. The published contacts are Arthur in Henesys Town Hall and Roxy in Kerning City Civic Center. Perion is your Warrior advancement town, but the current introduction does not name a Perion citizenship option.
Residents can complete Community Board requests to earn Contribution toward their citizenship grade. The confirmed benefits include access to local specialty items and discounts involving cabs, Storage Keeper services, and some general store goods. The notes do not publish a Warrior-specific benefit or prove which town gives a particular branch the best economic outcome.
07
Party quests and bosses before or after Lv30
At Lv21, characters can participate in First Time Together, the Kerning City Party Quest. The activity combines party puzzles, monster encounters, and King Slime, giving you a confirmed cooperative option before the second advancement threshold. No Warrior-only entry rule or mandatory Warrior slot is described in the current overview.
The same notes list Mano, Mushmom, Shade, Zombie Mushmom, and Jr. Balrog as the five available challenge bosses. They do not establish a Warrior solo-clear level, damage requirement, or recommended branch for those encounters. Pending confirmation (待确认): boss builds and party composition recommendations need encounter evidence beyond the availability list.
08
Set controls before evaluating a branch
The current game offers Classic Style and Modern Style default key layouts, with WASD movement supported by Modern Style. It also supports controllers, but Enable Controller Support in Game Options starts turned off. The official FAQ names DualSense, DualShock, and Xbox controllers and permits USB or Bluetooth connections.
These options let you prepare the input method you intend to use while learning Warrior. They do not prove that one layout increases damage or changes the class's skills. English is supported, Spanish is in beta, and a language change from the login screen or Game Options requires relaunching the game.
09
Founder cosmetics are not a Warrior build
The Founder's Package page states that its items are cosmetic and give no stats or gameplay bonuses. Outfit items can be equipped regardless of job or gender, and the published package outfits have no weapon restrictions. A Founder's Thief Outfit Set name therefore does not make its appearance items a Thief-exclusive progression path or a Warrior equipment recommendation.
10
Scope and remaining confirmations
This guide follows the official Founder's Access material checked on October 7, 2026. Confirmed Warrior progression covers the Lv10 and Lv30 advancements and the Lv100 character cap. The official Ossyria Exploration Report explicitly excludes third job advancement, Orbis, and El Nath from both Founder's Access and initial Grand Launch.
Nexon plans to rework that content and introduce it later, without supplying release dates. Pending confirmation (待确认): the future third-job release date, plus fourth-job availability and timing. The April 2026 Closed Online Test used a separate environment, so its progress, event rewards, and test-only channel rules do not establish current Warrior instructions.
