MapleStory Classic World has four starting classes: Warrior, Magician, Bowman, and Thief. In the current Founder's Access release, all four first job advancements begin at Lv10, with second advancement at Lv30 and a Lv100 character cap. Each job has a named instructor and a different set of second job branches in the official October 6, 2026 notes. A best-class ranking, complete current skill builds, and damage comparisons are Pending confirmation (待确认) in the saved research.
01
First job advancement at Lv10
Every new character starts as a Beginner on Maple Island. The release notes describe introductory quests and monsters there before traveling to Victoria Island, where the job towns are located. At Lv10, speak to the instructor for the starting job you want to choose. The current notes apply that same first advancement level to all four jobs.
| Starting job | Town | First job instructor | Second job branches at Lv30 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Perion | Dances with Balrog | Fighter, Page, Spearman |
| Magician | Ellinia | Grendel the Really Old | Wizard (Fire/Poison), Wizard (Ice/Lightning), Cleric |
| Bowman | Henesys | Athena Pierce | Hunter, Crossbowman |
| Thief | Kerning City | Dark Lord | Assassin, Bandit |
This table reproduces the current release's named advancement contacts and branches. The announcement does not supply every dialogue choice, a required stat allocation, or a full advancement quest walkthrough. Those details remain Pending confirmation (待确认) instead of being imported from another MapleStory release. Use the named town and instructor as the confirmed starting point for your current job question.
02
Warrior: Perion and three second job paths
For Warrior, the first job contact is Dances with Balrog in Perion at Lv10. At Lv30, the same instructor offers Fighter, Page, or Spearman as the second job paths. These names are explicitly listed in the Founder's Access notes. They establish advancement choices without establishing which branch does the most damage or levels fastest.
The saved current sources do not publish a Warrior skill allocation, ideal equipment progression, or tested branch performance. A guide that supplies an exact AP or SP sequence would therefore need evidence beyond these captured announcements. Pending confirmation (待确认): branch-specific skills, current stat requirements, and reset or switching rules. The Warrior guide expands the confirmed progression and the current systems you can use alongside it.
03
Magician: Ellinia and the Mage query
The official starting job name is Magician, which answers the collected Mage guide query. At Lv10, speak to Grendel the Really Old in Ellinia for first advancement. At Lv30, the official second job choices are Wizard (Fire/Poison), Wizard (Ice/Lightning), and Cleric. The two elemental labels and Cleric are branch names, not a published ranking of their effectiveness.
The current release notes do not give a complete skill list or confirm an optimized elemental damage rotation. They also do not establish the exact responsibilities or preferred party composition for each branch in this version. Those class-specific recommendations remain Pending confirmation (待确认) until current evidence supports them. The Mage and Magician guide preserves the search terminology while using Nexon's official job names.
04
Bowman: Henesys and the Archer query
The official starting job name is Bowman, corresponding to the collected Archer guide query. First advancement is available at Lv10 through Athena Pierce in Henesys. At Lv30, the notes say to return to that instructor and choose Hunter or Crossbowman. This confirms the two branches without supplying their current attack speeds, weapon statistics, or damage comparisons.
A weapon preference or build recommendation needs the actual current item and skill rules, which the saved overview does not provide. The presence of two branch names alone cannot prove an optimal choice for every activity. Pending confirmation (待确认): skill point order, equipment requirements, and branch-specific combat performance. The Archer and Bowman guide keeps those limits visible beside the confirmed instructor and advancement levels.
05
Thief: Kerning City and its second jobs
For Thief, speak to Dark Lord in Kerning City at Lv10. Second advancement begins at Lv30 with Assassin or Bandit as the announced paths. Kerning City is also one of the two towns listed for the current Citizenship system. That shared location is useful context, but the release notes do not make citizenship a required step for Thief advancement.
The official overview does not establish an Assassin or Bandit skill build, weapon stat table, or measured resource efficiency. It likewise does not publish a complete rule for changing between the branches later. These questions are Pending confirmation (待确认) rather than reasons to reuse a guide from a different MapleStory product. The Thief guide combines the confirmed advancement information with the relevant current feature entry points.
06
Best class and tier list evidence
A reliable best class or tier list is Pending confirmation (待确认). The current official material names the jobs and branches but provides no comparative DPS data, tested clear times, or official best-class recommendation. Those sources therefore do not support ordering the classes into performance tiers. A useful ranking needs version-specific evidence for both the activity and the comparison method.
For now, you can compare the confirmed starting towns, instructors, and second job branch names. The individual guides cover those facts without describing an unverified branch as a healer, tank, fastest farmer, or strongest boss option. Any later recommendation should state which current version and activity it was tested against. That keeps a useful player choice separate from a universal performance claim the present material cannot support.
07
Shared activities after choosing a job
At Lv10, characters can begin the new Crafting system by visiting crafting NPCs to inspect items and materials. At Lv12, Citizenship is available in Henesys and Kerning City through Arthur or Roxy, with Community Board requests providing Contribution. At Lv21, First Time Together in Kerning City offers a cooperative party quest involving puzzles, monsters, and King Slime. These are confirmed level gates for current systems rather than a proven fastest leveling route.
The release notes also list Mano, Mushmom, Shade, Zombie Mushmom, and Jr. Balrog as bosses available to challenge. They recommend preparing equipment and teaming up with other Maplers, but provide no class-specific boss requirement or spawn timer. The crafting guide, citizenship guide, and quest guide explain the confirmed entries. Exact rewards, build requirements, and encounter strategies remain Pending confirmation (待确认) where those source details are absent.
08
Level cap, future jobs, and character planning
The current maximum character level is Lv100, and the current release notes document first and second job advancement. The saved current material does not give a release date for third or fourth job advancement. Nexon allows up to three characters per account, with a waiting period when deleting a character. The length of that deletion waiting period is Pending confirmation (待确认).
The saved official Ossyria Exploration Report explicitly excludes Orbis, El Nath, and third job advancement from Founder’s Access and the initial Grand Launch. Nexon plans to rework that content and introduce it gradually later. No reintroduction date is given in the captured official graphic. Fourth job plans also remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
As of October 7, Founder's Access is active and Grand Launch is scheduled for October 21 at 11:00 AM PDT. The official FAQ treats MapleStory and Classic World as one account service while keeping game-specific features separate; shared NX does not establish character transfers. Use the beginner guide for entering the current game and the release-date guide for phase timing. Historical test rules and other MapleStory versions should only be applied when a current Classic World source confirms them.
