The confirmed MapleStory Classic World map progression begins on Maple Island and continues to Victoria Island. The current release notes identify Perion, Ellinia, Henesys, and Kerning City as the four job-advancement towns, with additional citizenship and Party Quest activities in the latter two. Forgotten Hollow is unavailable during Founder's Access and is planned for a later addition without a confirmed opening date. As of October 7, 2026, this guide covers those locations and their documented purposes; exact coordinates, portal routes, and a full map atlas remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
01
Maple Island is the starting region
Every character begins as a Beginner on Maple Island. Nexon describes meeting the first monsters, completing quests, and learning the basics before traveling to Victoria Island. This establishes the broad starting sequence, but the release notes do not enumerate every Maple Island map or quest. Use the region as the confirmed beginning of your character's journey without treating this overview as a verified route through each portal.
The official package page adds a location-specific reward rule: you must leave Maple Island before opening your Founder's Package. Package delivery is automatic, but opening it has that separate region condition. The mailbox claim deadline is November 30, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, and a claimed package has a 30-day opening period. These rules explain why access to purchased cosmetics and progress through the starting region are related without identifying an exact departure quest or transportation NPC.
02
Victoria Island contains the main announced towns
Victoria Island is where the current introduction says you choose a job and continue your adventure. Nexon describes forests, mountains, dungeons, quests, and encounters with other players, without presenting a full map inventory. The named job towns are reliable destinations because the article connects each one to an instructor and advancement level. The table below is a destination directory, not a claim about road connections or relative distances.
| Town | Confirmed job instructor | Job | Advancement milestones |
|---|---|---|---|
| Perion | Dances with Balrog | Warrior | Lv. 10 and Lv. 30 |
| Ellinia | Grendel the Really Old | Magician | Lv. 10 and Lv. 30 |
| Henesys | Athena Pierce | Bowman | Lv. 10 and Lv. 30 |
| Kerning City | Dark Lord | Thief | Lv. 10 and Lv. 30 |
All four jobs have a first advancement at Lv. 10 in these current notes. The second advancement at Lv. 30 returns you to the relevant instructor for a specialized path. Knowing the town and NPC provides a documented travel purpose, even though the source does not supply the journey from your current map. Additional advancement objectives, entrance positions, and travel costs remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
03
Perion and Ellinia: advancement destinations
Perion is the confirmed town for Warrior advancement through Dances with Balrog. At Lv. 30, that instructor offers the Warrior branches Fighter, Page, and Spearman. These names establish which job paths the destination serves, rather than describing the monsters or resources on nearby maps. The current notes do not locate the instructor within a specific sub-map or provide a route to reach Perion.
Ellinia is the confirmed destination for Magician advancement through Grendel the Really Old. The listed second paths are Wizard (Fire/Poison), Wizard (Ice/Lightning), and Cleric. The first advancement is Lv. 10 here, so a historical guide using a different Magician level requirement cannot determine this trip's timing. Exact sub-map directions and any additional advancement requirements remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
04
Henesys: Bowman advancement and citizenship
Athena Pierce is the Bowman instructor in Henesys. The first advancement is Lv. 10, followed by Hunter or Crossbowman at Lv. 30. Henesys also offers citizenship from Lv. 12 through Arthur at Henesys Town Hall. These are distinct NPC roles, so the town can be a destination for advancement, citizenship, or both without implying that one conversation completes both systems.
Henesys residents can use the town's Community Board to find requests. Completing requests earns Contribution toward a Citizenship grade, and increasing that grade opens more opportunities to help the town. Confirmed resident perks include specialty-shop access and discounts on Cab prices, Storage Keeper services, and some general-store items. The notes name the Town Hall but do not publish board coordinates, discount percentages, or a complete service-location directory.
05
Kerning City: Thief advancement and group activity
Dark Lord is the Thief instructor in Kerning City. At Lv. 30, the documented specialized paths are Assassin and Bandit. Roxy at Kerning City Civic Center is the separate citizenship contact for characters at Lv. 12 and above. The city also has a Community Board and the same announced categories of resident perks, giving it several documented purposes beyond first job advancement.
First Time Together, the Kerning City Party Quest, is available to characters at Lv. 21 and above. Nexon describes puzzles, monster encounters, and King Slime as parts of the cooperative activity. The city's name identifies the Party Quest's association, but the overview does not name its exact entry NPC or entry map. A complete stage route, group requirements, and reward table remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
06
Lith Harbor is the announced GM-event meeting point
For several scheduled Founder's Access GM events, the notes tell players to speak to Paul at Lith Harbor to move to an event map. The Physical Fitness Challenge is announced for October 8 and 14, Coconut Harvest for October 12, and the portal-climbing event for October 9 and 19. Each of those sessions runs from 00:00 to 02:00 UTC on its listed date. This confirms a specific meeting town and NPC for scheduled activities, without establishing a permanent public route into their event maps.
Those event instructions exclude characters who own a Scroll of Secrets or participated in a GM event within the past 24 hours. The notes also announce town monster-summoning sessions on October 11, 16, and 20 from 01:00 to 02:00 UTC. They do not identify a fixed town for every summoning session. Keep the named meeting point separate from an assumption that every announced event occurs at Lith Harbor.
07
Bosses and crafting NPCs are not a complete location atlas
The current overview lists Mano, Mushmom, Shade, Zombie Mushmom, and Jr. Balrog as the five bosses available to challenge. It introduces them during Victoria Island exploration but does not give exact spawn maps, timers, or portal approaches. King Slime is additionally named inside the Kerning City Party Quest and GM-event material, which does not make it a sixth member of that five-boss overview. Exact boss locations and reliable spawn directions remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
Crafting unlocks at Lv. 10 and has six named NPCs: Silas Irons, Mr. Thunder, Francois, Vicious, JM From tha Streetz, and Chrishrama. Their profession pairings are documented, but their exact locations are not supplied in the official release-note text. A crafting destination should therefore be established through the current client before you plan a material trip around a claimed town. Listing an NPC's name does not establish an entrance, coordinate, or transport route.
08
Forgotten Hollow and future map scope
Nexon explicitly says Forgotten Hollow is unavailable during Founder's Access because its path has not yet been discovered. The same note says it is planned for a later addition, without giving a date. Grand Launch on October 21 is a confirmed service milestone, but the source does not identify it as Forgotten Hollow's opening date. That region's release timing and travel requirements remain Pending confirmation (待确认).
Orbis and El Nath are outside Founder’s Access and the initial Grand Launch scope. The official launch-content image also excludes 3rd Job Advancement from those releases. Nexon plans to rework and add them gradually, with dates Pending confirmation (待确认). Their presence in Closed Online Test #2 material does not establish current map availability.
Classic World revisits early MapleStory with balance and quality of life changes, so map memories from another version need current confirmation. The official FAQ confirms English support and Spanish in beta, which is why English NPC and place names are retained here for reference. Use the current release notes for announced destinations and the client for local directions. This keeps available towns, scheduled event maps, and future regions within their documented scopes.
